I had a moment - as some of us do - when my faith in the church was shattered. After nearly 20 years as an ordained pastor, this experience stirred not only feelings of sorrow and confusion, but also deep questions about my calling.
I started to think about all the others who had left the church, or been kicked out, who might need a pastor, at least from time to time, but have no one to turn to. This moment led to the question: Who pastors the people who no longer have a church?
You still want to pray, still seek the holy in the everyday, and still would like guidance and care, but are left with no one to turn to.
I now believe my calling is to serve you with my listening ear, my care, and any wisdom I can offer. I hope to walk alongside anyone who seeks a heartfelt companion on their spiritual journey.
“Walking away from the church doesn’t mean walking away from God.”
